Visitors at the Besh Barmag Bird Migration Count

What a lovely weekend at the counting station of the Besh Barmag Bird Migration Count! On Saturday and Sunday the counters were joined by two groups of visitors from Baku. Together they enjoyed birdwatching and freshly brewed tea from the samovar. The many kids got a small lesson in the field about the speciality of the bottleneck area and the importance of this place for bird conservation. The good passage of passerines and raptors in combination with really enjoyable moments with close sights of Short-toed Eagle, Booted Eagle, Marsh Harrier, Sparrowhawk and a late Roller on passage or the many kettles of Steppe Eagles made this a truly memorable experience for the visitors.

We thank OSME for their continuous support of the project and look forward to the next weeks!
