The Birding Azerbaijan team works nonprofit and voluntary, but funding is necessary for our various projects and activities. Our small income is currently generated by our organised birdwatching tours or grants from foundations or companies. Nevertheless, we also rely on additional donations to cover the costs for our projects like field surveys of threatened bird species in Azerbaijan or the Besh Barmag Bird Migration Count. Furthermore, we cover the costs of Azerbaijani participants during our activities to build up a local community of bird and nature conservationists.
