Dear birding community, We regret to inform you that the Besh Barmag Bird Migration Count for September 2024 has been canceled due to an insufficient number of counters. With only 1-2 local ornithologists available, it has become logistically challenging and inefficient to carry out the count for the whole September given the high costs for transport and accommodation. However, we are excited to announce that the count will resume as planned from early October! By reallocating resources, we aim to ensure high data quality for both October and November. This allows us to make the most of the generous contributions from donors and participants.
Depsite we already have a good number of counters for October and November, we are still looking for participants. If you’re interested, we encourage you to get involved and help us make this season’s migration count a success!
